A Triple Blue Heron Landing Morning

It's another gorgeous day in Central North Carolina. Clear blue-sky warm (84) and puffy clouds. I drove over to do my morning 2-mile walk and check the progress on Blue Heron's Landing.  The masons were there working and told me they were greeted by Three Blue Herons first thing this morning. It must have been a beautiful sight. I cannot wait to wake up to them out the window in the morning.

There’s been much progress since I last posted. The excavators did a beautiful job dig and filling the footers. I will post pictures before I close today’s blog.

Jack and I went over and adored the place this weekend a few times. Saturday night we took our neighbors Jim and Linda over for a tour. It was fun to be there in the evening. Earlier that evening another neighbor informed all of us the tree guys working at her house killed the biggest water moccasin they have ever seen in NC. Just what I did not want to hear! EEEEEKKK! Lani and snakes are not a great combo. Linda keeps telling me she is worried about me and snakes……. Yeyah me too!!

We are waiting for the power company to get us temporary power at the site. The field engineer for our site is not the fastest on the crew.  Hoping it will get done this week before the holiday but I have big doubts.

The plan is for the masons to finish and the gravel to be shoveled in tomorrow. Foundation Inspection Wednesday and framers start Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed that things keep moving.

Here are a few of the latest pictures.

Signing off for now. Will blog on the framing hopefully as it starts on Thursday. Happy Monday all hope it is as beautiful where you are as it is here.
